View all pieces by Kris Johnson.

I have become a danger behind the wheel of a car since beginning to paint because of the shapes, compositions, colors, and negative spaces I see everywhere. The connections, the promise of a sketch, the love and cheer of a sight delight me. It's a thrill to be able to " see."

I have lived part time in Maine since my father's first mate in WW2 brought us to his home on Deer Isle. Then I lived in my hometown of Lexington Massachusetts until returning to Maine full time in 1980. I have also lived in Spain in the mountain overlooking the Mediterranean and in France by the Pyrenees.

I have had shows all over the midcoast, Boston, and Indiana as well as France and Spain.

My current work can be seen with Dona at her gallery, Mars Hall, Tenants Harbor.
